Your contribution to Family Promise of Genesee County will help us continue our mission of ending homelessness—one family at a time.

It is often surprising how many working families experience a housing crisis and need our help. We are passionate about giving our families a hand-up rather than a handout—helping them build new lives. Your support has provided a hand-up to a family in a shelter with us.

Our goal is to provide support and structure through case management, which ensures a higher success rate in enabling the family to maintain independent living, take care of their families, and contribute back to the community.

We relaunched our emergency shelter operations in March 2023 and graduated 9 families. We focus heavily on preventing families from becoming homeless or diverting them to alternative shelter solutions if they have no home.

We have successfully prevented 95 children in 38 families from becoming homeless and diverted 363 children in 157 families from entering shelter. We stabilized 383 children in 113 families by providing case management and basic needs support, which enabled those 113 parents to pay rent and keep their homes.

In 2023, we served 864 children in 317 families. Thank you for your generosity - it means the world to us!
