Why We Fight for Kids

The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation has been working to close that gap since 1982, investing more than $68 million in research that has driven real breakthroughs for real kids. Their mission isn't just survival. It's ensuring that children who face cancer go on to truly thrive, with safer treatments, stronger support, and care that follows them long after their last appointment.

This is why SMAC is showing up this September. Because the students in our chapters know firsthand what it means when the science isn't there, and they refuse to accept that the odds are stacked against kids.

Every dollar raised through SMAC's Scotch Plains Day booth goes directly to PCRF and the next generation of pediatric cancer research. It's a small booth at a street fair. But behind it are students who understand exactly what's at stake.
