The Mission

"In Order To Win The Race, One Must Run As Hard As He Can, And Then He Passes The Baton Off To Another"

This is the heart of our mission. We’re a collaboration of Christian father-figures, mentors, coaches, and organizations focused on giving an Edge to the next generation. That is in terms of education and personal development, as well as mental and spiritual strength.

The Challenge

The role of fathers and father-figures is at the root of so many social ills that impact the Next Gen. But as we give our best to educate, train, develop, and care for them, many of us have found it to be a heavy calling – whether spiritually, mentally, or financially.

Yet, as we look at our world today, the issues dealt to the NextGen continue to get heavier. And they’re not the type that we were made to deal with alone, whether as men, disciples, or Christian communities. Therefore, giving an Edge to the NextGen is going to take faith, us coming together to discuss our predicament, sharing our experiences and resources, and developing solutions that will make a lasting impact.

Our Program: Think The Game - Financial Literacy and Capability

In response to this challenge, we started a conversation about the growing financial burdens carried by the Next Gen. We saw a need for a program that offers more than just financial literacy, but also personal development through a biblical lens, with modern skills, tools, resources, and knowledge that will work both today and in the future.

And that initiative became our Think The Game: Financial Literacy and Capability Program

Students of this program will receive:

New skills sets to help them determine their direction after school, while becoming better at learning, organizing their thoughts, and planning
The ability to keep score by focusing no only on their income, but also on the overall financial game
An understanding of how to avoid the debt trap and cycle, poor use of credit cards, and risks to their financial lives and future
How to not drop the ball at school, work, or in business
How to get into a mental zone where they’ll go from planning to actually getting things done

And most of all, they'll understand that they Have To Learn To Play The Game. Because whether they realize or not, they're already in it. And that includes the game of adulting, responsibility, and the game of life.
