What is the Fathers Matter Festival?

On December 14th, 2024, we’re hosting the first Father’s Matter Festival. This is what we’ll be doing:

Workshops & Seminars: Our Workshops & Seminars are designed to provide valuable information and practical guidance for fathers. Topics will range from parenting advice, where experts will share effective strategies and tips for raising children, to legal rights workshops focusing on custody and child support, ensuring fathers are well-informed about their legal standing. Health and wellness workshops will emphasize the importance of physical and mental well-being, offering advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing stress, and finding balance in daily life.

Kids’ Zone: The Kids’ Zone is a dedicated space filled with fun activities for children, allowing fathers to spend quality time with their kids. This area will include a variety of games that encourage teamwork and friendly competition, as well as craft stations where children can express their creativity through arts and crafts projects. Interactive learning activities will also be available, providing educational and entertaining experiences that foster curiosity and learning. The Kids’ Zone is designed to create joyful memories and strengthen the bond between fathers and their children.

Resource Fair: Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with financial advisors who can offer personalized advice on managing finances, saving for college, and planning for the future. Attorneys specializing in family law will be available to provide guidance on custody, child support, and other legal matters, ensuring fathers have the information they need to navigate complex legal issues. Parenting support groups will also be present, offering a sense of community and shared experience, along with resources for enhancing parenting skills and building strong, healthy families.

Entertainment: Enjoy live music performances from talented local artists, covering a variety of genres to suit every musical taste. Acts for kids will include entertainers and interactive storytelling sessions that captivate young minds and provide endless entertainment. Poetry readings will offer a chance to experience the power of words and emotions, showcasing the talents of local poets and writers. The entertainment schedule will ensure there’s always something exciting happening, making the festival a vibrant and engaging experience for everyone.
