Feeding Gaza's Future

Overview

Who are we?

Hello, my name is Abigail Johnson. I'm an American living in California organizing in solidarity with the people of Palestine. I've published hundreds of videos to my Tiktok channel (@itsjustafuntiktok) promoting fundraisers for Ghazzawi families and humanitarian organizations to support the civilian population in Gaza. Feeding Gaza's Future is a project spearheaded by my friend Mohammed from Gaza who currently lives in a refugee tent camp in north Gaza.

You can see our entire food distribution history at our NEW BLOG here: https://feedinggazasfuture.wordpress.com/

Mission Statement

Feeding Gaza's Future strives to ensure a Palestinian future in the Gaza Strip by providing 400 families living in one north Gaza refugee camp with food and other basic necessities.

September 12, 2026

We served shaved turkey sandwiches, onion, and sweet corn sandwiches, 6 per family, to 160 families in the refugee camp.

September 4, 2026

We distributed more beef Qidreh to the remaining approximately 150 families in the refugee camp (meaning the families who did not receive a meal from the previous distribution).

August 31, 2026

We distributed Qidreh, a Palestinian meat and rice dish, in this case we used beef, to about 150 families.

July 18, 2026

Fruit and vegetable bundles containing 1kg each of mangoes, green peppers, and tomatoes; 2kg of oranges, onions, potatoes, eggplant, and okra were distributed to between 40 and 50 families.

May 25-26, 2026

We distributed maamoul cookies again! Longtime Feeding Gaza's Future fans will known that our very first distribution ever were Eid cookies like maamoul, which we distributed in celebration of Eid Al-Adha this time. It's so important to Feeding Gaza's Future not just to keep Palestinian bodies in Gaza physically alive, but also to keep Palestinian hope and joy alive, which is exactly what we're achieving when we're distributing these cookies. Mohammed's mother-in-law is the Star Baker responsible for the success of this distribution. She and her relatives baked almost three thousand cookies all by fire since Israel continues to block fuel from entering Gaza. Even better, Mohammed assured me that the homemade cookies were superior to the commercially manufactured cookies available elsewhere in Gaza.

May 16, 2026

We partnered with a local clothing store to provide 42 children with new clothing for Eid Al-Adha this year. Celebratory traditions like giving clothing for Eid are sometimes the only joy Palestinians who've been deliberately dispossessed and impoverished by Israel and America's Holocaust against Palestinians in Gaza can find between their never-ending chores to keep themselves alive.

May 13, 2026

We partnered with a local grocery story to provide fifty families with approximately a week's worth of groceries. Families were each allotted a total amount they could spend, and were able to shop like normal through the aisles for whatever they needed or wanted. Something as monotonous as grocery shopping becomes a rare moment of autonomy and choice for families who've been forced to accept handouts for over two years while Israel decimates their local economy.

April 25, 2026

We distributed packages with 3kg chicken breast, 1kg rice, 2kg potatoes, 1kg onions, 1kg green peppers, and 1kg lemons to 86 families in the camp. High protein ingredients like chicken and eggs are very scarce and expensive in Gaza, so this distributions helped combat malnutrition among the residents of the camp. Second and third photos are an example of how one family chose to cook their ingredients

February 14, 2026

Donations funded a sewage truck to come empty the latrines in the camp, as opposed to having to empty them by hand, saving the residents crucial time and energy, and greatly reducing their chance of infection from coming in contact with the waste.

January 8, 2026

We provided the administrative volunteers in the camp with closed toed shoes to protect their feet while they fulfill needs in the camp. These volunteers are mostly orphaned sons of Palestinians murdered by Israeli attacks. They dedicate their time to resolving disputes between neighbors, building infrastructure, for example digging ditches to prevent flooding, and help us distribute food.

December 12, 2025

We provided the camp administrators who volunteer to help us distribute food in the camp with jackets to keep them warm during the winter.

November 22, 2025

We were able to purchase tents to replace the tattered tents used by the refugee camp administration, who volunteer to keep order inside the camp. Because they received tents from us, which were more suited to their needs, they were able to donate other tents they had on hand to families living nearby who were living in inadequate shelter.

November 15, 2025

No distribution today, just the unfortunate news that the camp has entirely flooded from the recent downpours in Gaza. Look at how many people are walking through this calf-high water barefoot. The weather in Gaza isn't tropical; it's temperate. It's cold there right now, and many many families in and out of our camp do not have the resources to stay warm and dry because Israel continues to obstruct the import of more permanent shelter to Gaza and what little is available in the markets is extremely expensive.

November 8, 2025

We distributed period pads throughout the camp. These are another basic necessity restricted by Israel's criminal blockade, intended to humiliate those in Gaza who need them. For this reason we distributed them for free throughout the camp.

November 6, 2025

While some food has entered since the ceasefire, the quantity is not enough to rehabilitate the Gaza population ( half of whom are children) after months of deliberate engineered famine. Furthermore, Israel is deliberately blocking healthy food from entering. The majority of what enters is nutritionally low food. For this reason, we distributed fruit.

October 28, 2025

We were able to provide this elderly woman living on the streets nearby with a tent. Mohammed informed me this is the highest quality tent available in Gaza. And that many organizations had promised the woman a tent, but only FGF was able to secure her one.

October 23, 2025

We distributed knafeh: a popular shredded phyllo dough dessert in Mediterranean and Arab countries with several variations. This version was fried with cream and sugar, and then soaked with syrup.

September 15 - October 10, 2025

Our team of organizers were temporarily displaced from the north to outside Khan Younis during Israel's genocidal invasion of Gaza City. While nearly a month in the south they prepared a new campsite to distribute food from, but before they could begin, the ceasefire was announced and they decided to return to their home city in the north. The investments made to the land, namely several toilets, yards of hose, and planted crops did not go to waste, however, as several other displaced families who were initially sleeping on the streets were able to move into the campsite shortly after our organizers left.

Spiced rice!

September 1, 2025

Romanian soup containing eggplant, onion, and pomegranate molasses

August 27, 2025

Included in today's cleaning package: clothing detergent, dishwashing soap, dishwashing sponges, feminine pads, earpicks, handsoap, body wash, laundry scent fresheners, toothpaste, toothbrushes, clotheslines, and hair removal wax.

August 26, 2025

Included in today's ingredients package: salt, ramen, canned corn, sunflower oil, yeast, and all-purpose flour. Mohammed told me the children were especially excited to receive the ramen and corn because they are still scarce and expensive.

August 25, 2025

Due to the relative abundance of food in the markets recently (don't get it twisted Gaza is still starving, but the inadequate amount of commercial goods allowed into the Strip via truck [NOTE: the airdrops are literally worse than nothing] is still better than nothing) we've been able to start distributing packages of ingredients instead of pre-made food. This allows families to cook their own meals to their own preferences and tastes. In this package we included: lentils, rice, chickpeas, pasta, sauce, canned meat, sugar, and feta cheese.

August 24, 2025

Tomato sauce flatbreads and cheese and herb pastries.

August 23, 2025

Bread distribution

August 21, 2025

Typically Maamoul cookies are only eaten during celebrations like Eid, but Mohammed and I agreed that the continuation of food distribution and the survival of the families in the camp after one of the most serious periods of famine in the genocide was absolutely cause for celebration. Shoutout to the fabulous mothers who we employ as chefs and bakers. Women are the center their communities and make everything we do possible.

August 20, 2025

Four huge pots of spiced Indian basmati rice!

August 19, 2025

Mohammed cooked Damsa, a Gazan stew made from eggplant, lentils, and flour for the camp today.

August 18, 2025

Mohammed distributed pizza and everyone was very excited for it.

August 17, 2025

We distributed spiced rice in the camp today. Due to the lack of plates, bowls, and plastic containers, the pots of rice were transported throughout the camp instead of distributed via portions to each tent.

August 16, 2025

We were FINALLY able to distribute again. These are cheese, tomato, and thyme pastries.

$100,000 Update (July 29, 2025):

Never in my wildest dreams did I think this initiative would raise this much money. We are still distributing food inside the camp, but due to the incredible scarcity of food, Mohammed is still distributing bags of flour to the most vulnerable families without photography because he cannot find enough food to feed everyone in the camp. Your donations allow us to support the families of amputees, pregnant or nursing mothers, the blind, the deaf, and other vulnerable people inside the camp and ensure that we are prepared to purchase large quantities of aid when it is reintroduced to the Gaza Strip, inshallah, very soon.

Currently, the deliberately engineered scarcity of food in Gaza is still dire and killing, on average, a dozen innocent civilians every day. The daily starvation death toll will inevitably rise the longer the starvation blockade is allowed to continue. Despite a recent and marked shift in the tone of coverage from legacy media, the situation is not improving, and the people of Gaza still need your voices to demand the end of their starvation. Words and actions must accompany donations. Mohammed and I thank you so much for your generosity and humanity.

A Message from Mohammed (July 20, 2025):

Dear Friends,

My name is Mohammed. I live in one of the refugee camps in Gaza, and from here "Feeding Gaza's Future" was born--a project I started with my friend Abby from the U.S. to bring food to as many families in need as possible.

Thanks to your compassion and generous support, we've been able to feed 400 families so far. We tried to ensure that everyone could receive food every day or every other day. But now, the situation has become unimaginable harsh.

Today, prices in Gaza have reached levels beyond comprehension: a kilo of flours costs $100; a kilo of lentils is $80; a kilo of rice is $80.

Because of this insane inflation, our purchasing power has dropped, and donations have slowed down. But we haven't stopped. Right now I'm focusing only on helping families in the camp where I live--people I know personally, many of whom are injured and struggling to survive. I'm helping a small number of families with whatever little I can, but I do it quietly, without filming or posting because even just showing that I'm giving help would bring dozens of families to my door, and I simply don't have the means to help them all.

I'm sharing this update with full honesty. We can continue, but only with your help. Every donation, no matter how small, becomes a hot meal, a bag of flour, or hope in the heart of a mother waiting to feed her children.

Please consider supporting this campaign, sharing it with others, or even keeping us in your prayers. You are the light in this darkness and the helping hand we need now more than ever.

Love,

Mohammed Rageh

Again today we prioritized families with disabled members for distribution.

July 10, 2025

Today our distribution prioritized amputees and people with disabilities as it is more difficult for these people to secure food on their own.
