Footprints to Recovery began in 2008 with one small house, a handful of beds, and a simple belief: every person deserves a safe place to rebuild their life. There was no funding, no staff, no roadmap—just lived experience, compassion, and a determination to create the kind of support that so many people in recovery never had.

What started as one home has grown into nine, including a transformative women-and-children program that keeps families together during the most vulnerable chapter of their lives. Over the years, Footprints has become a lifeline for people coming out of treatment, incarceration, homelessness, and trauma—people who are ready to change their lives but have nowhere safe to go.

Every bed, every meal, every moment of stability we provide is built on community. We’ve never been backed by large grants or government funding. We’ve been carried by people who believe in second chances, who show up, who give what they can, and who understand that recovery doesn’t happen alone.
