Fill the Trailer for Food 4 Kids – 2026 Community Challenge

The First Annual Fill the Trailer for Food 4 Kids is more than just a fundraiser—it's a community-wide effort to ensure local children begin the school year with the supplies and food they need to succeed.

This campaign is part of Charleston Discount Grocery's August After Hours Shopping Event & Back-to-School Bash, taking place on Wednesday, August 5, from 5:00–8:00 PM.

Throughout the evening, our goal is simple: fill an entire trailer with school supplies, backpacks, kid-friendly food, hygiene products, and other essentials that will directly benefit Food 4 Kids and the local students and families they serve.

The event will feature local food vendors, community organizations, shopping opportunities, and family-friendly activities, including:

❤️ Food 4 Kids
🤝 Hour House BASE Program
Plus additional local businesses, vendors, and community partners.

This online fundraiser was created for those who may not be able to attend the event in person, live outside our area, or simply prefer to support the mission financially while still being part of this incredible community effort.

Every dollar donated will be used to purchase the items needed most—including school supplies, backpacks, kid-friendly food, hygiene products, and other essential items—to help us completely Fill the Trailer before the event concludes.

Loxa Presbyterian Church is serving as the nonprofit partner for this campaign, helping ensure donations are managed responsibly and used to support this community mission. Together with Charleston Discount Grocery, our sponsors, volunteers, businesses, churches, and generous donors, we're demonstrating what can happen when a community comes together to care for its neighbors.
