But First… Food & The Cake

At the heart of our mission is a difficult truth: no one can focus on health, education, or opportunity while facing hunger. Yet for many of the families we serve, the choice is often heartbreaking — buy medicine or buy food.

Through our outreach efforts, NOB Foundation provides life-saving medicines, food supplies, essential aid, and educational resources to underserved communities. By helping meet these basic needs, we lift one of the greatest burdens these families carry, allowing them to focus on healing, learning, and building a more sustainable future.

But there is another part of our mission that is just as meaningful — the cake & birthday celebration.

Up to 90% of children born with sickle cell disease in some developing regions do not live to see their 5th birthday.

At every outreach event, we intentionally celebrate the birthdays of our sickle cell warriors. For many of these children, survival is not guaranteed — not because of sickle cell alone, but due to limited access to early diagnosis, preventative care, and proper treatment.

Too often, these children and their families are burdened with stigma from the very beginning — treated as though their lives will be short, their futures already decided. In some communities, they are even given labels — a “death certificate” that quietly strips away hope before they’ve had the chance to dream.

That is why we celebrate.

The birthday cake is more than a tradition — it is a statement. A declaration that their lives matter. A moment of joy that challenges stigma. A reminder to every child and family that they are seen, valued, and capable of living full, meaningful lives beyond any label placed on them.

This is how we live our mission every day: Leaving No One Behind.
