WHO WE ARE?

We are a group of mamas with their families from all backgrounds! We are teachers, students, counselors, housewives, cashiers, unemployed, retired, administrative assistants, bakers, chefs, etc. Despite our different backgrounds, what unites us is our passion for helping children and mothers. We are a children's charity (501c3) dedicated to providing basic needs to children and families free of charge. The Little Flower Group gives back 100% of all donated baby and children's items to families in need.

WHO WE SERVE

Since 2021 we have served over 5000 families in the State of Georgia, the Dominican Republic, Brasil, Perú, and Mexico. The monthly distributions of children's items are scheduled in local churches or in partnership with other nonprofits. We assist families, regardless of income, religion, ethnicity, cultural, racial, or socio-economic background.

The Little Flower Group serves as a vital resource for mothers transitioning from women's shelters, offering them a fresh start. By partnering with local social workers, we ensure that families with children receive the support they need.

In April 2023, our community's generous donations enabled us to secure a commercial space, bringing the LITTLE FLOWER CARE CENTER to life. This is where we organize all donations and welcome our incredible volunteers. Did you know that our operations are entirely volunteer-based? This means 100% of your donations directly fund our charity and serve kids!

HOW WE SERVE

Community Baby Shower

We prepare these bags for pregnant mothers, containing clothing from newborn to 6 months, baby items like diapers and wipes, and maternity items that they can take to the hospital such as pads, books, etc. The distribution of these bags are during our Community Baby Showers, monthly distributions, events with community partner events like Resource Mother (M.O.R.E) at North DeKalb Health Center, and educational activities with GA Highlands Medical Center.

Baby Care Classes

This is one of the bi-monthly pre-natal care classes that we participate in at GA Highland Medical Center in Cumming. Here we meet with mamas who are close to giving birth. Each of them receives a baby bag after a learning experience guided by a Pediatrician.

Our Monthly Distributions

We partner with churches and other nonprofits to distribute all children's items. After we collect all gentle children's items from the community, we then distribute them with the same love to other families.

Women's Health Fair

Every year we partner with Northside Hospital and other medical organizations to provide free breast exams and mammograms. We also offer other medical tests like blood pressure and cholesterol for the rest of the family.

¿QUIENES SOMOS? ¡Somos un grupo de mamás con sus familias de todos los orígenes! Somos profesores, estudiantes, consejeros, amas de casa, cajeros, desempleados, jubilados, asistentes administrativos, chefs, etc. ¡Nuestra edad voluntaria más joven es 9 años y el más joven es 77! Y nuestros maridos preparan panqueques para todos los niños en diciembre; mientras nuestros niños se encargan de repartir juguetes. El año pasado recibimos una gran donación de bolsos nuevos para bebés. Nuestra práctica es preparar estas bolsas para madres embarazadas, que contienen ropa desde recién nacido hasta los 3 meses, artículos para bebés y artículos de maternidad como toallas sanitarias. Sin embargo, nos hemos quedado sin estas bolsas debido a que las distribuimos durante los eventos de nuestros socios comunitarios, incluidas actividades educativas con GA Highlands Medical Center y Resource Mother (M.O.R.E) en North DeKalb Health Center.
