On behalf of Friends of Metuchen Arts, we are excited to announce our upcoming fundraiser: a grand gala held on March 7, 2026 at the elegant Metuchen Golf and Country Club. This event will bring together artists, patrons of the arts, and community members to celebrate creativity and raise funds to support our ongoing initiatives.

Friends of Metuchen Arts (FOMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting local art initiatives. FOMA’s mission is to support the growth of art in all its forms, including visual arts, music, theatre, film, and dance.

Our 2025 accomplishments: In 2025 we presented or supported more than 35 Metuchen art events, most at no cost to the public. This included eight jazz concerts and a county-wide jazz festival, four classical music performances including one for children, Metuchen Porchfest, four art gallery exhibitions, four outdoor family fun shows, and 10 drawing nights.
We fund independent and emerging artists: In 2025, our grant program awarded $9,000 to local creative artists, enabling more than 15 performances, classes, and exhibits in our community. We are also proud to have created Metuchen Jazz for Youth, offering performance opportunities for young jazz artists.
We have big plans for 2026: We will continue our grant program with two funding cycles, as well as establish a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior from Metuchen High School. We will continue to support community theatre, dance, and film, as well as the popular Porchfest event and lots more!

We promote community partnerships and want to thank and recognize the leadership of Westerhoff School of Music & Art, Metuchen Arts Council, Metuchen Public Library, First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen, and Hailey’s Harp and Pub for working with us.
