On Saturday, December 5, 2026, the Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund (EDTF) will bring together members of the Ethiopian diaspora, friends, and partners at Conrad Washington, DC for an evening of connection, celebration, and generosity.

This year’s theme, “ለእናት ኢትዮጵያ | For Mother Ethiopia,” reflects a simple idea: Ethiopia has given each of us something we carry into the world. It may be our language, our traditions, our memories, or the relationships that continue to shape our lives. This evening is an opportunity to honor that connection and invest in Ethiopia’s future.

The gala will celebrate the communities and supporters advancing EDTF’s work. Through storytelling and cultural connection, guests will hear about the impact of collective giving and the opportunities ahead.

At the heart of the evening is an invitation to give with purpose. By purchasing a ticket, hosting a table, or making a contribution, you will help support EDTF’s ongoing work. During the live appeal, guests will also have an opportunity to contribute at a level meaningful to them.

Whether Ethiopia is your birthplace, your heritage, or a country you have come to care deeply about, you are welcome at the table.

Join us as we celebrate our connection to Ethiopia and help build opportunities for generations to come.

Reserve your ticket or table, and invite others to join you.

For Mother Ethiopia.
