Every great museum begins with a group of people who believe it should exist before the doors ever open.

The Founding Families Campaign invites early supporters to help bring the Great Plains Children’s Museum to life from the very beginning. Founding gifts begin at $500 and support the launch of Phase 1, including SPLAT, partner programming, and the first public activation of the museum space.

This is more than a donation. It is a chance to be part of the story — to help create a place where children can explore, imagine, make, move, wonder, and grow; where caregivers can find connection and support; and where our community can come together around the power of play.

Founding Families will be recognized as part of the first circle of supporters who helped open the doors and build the foundation for the full museum vision.

Standard family memberships will be available separately once Phase 1 opens, helping ensure the museum remains accessible to families across the region.

Founding Family Level Details

Founding Family — $500

Name included on the founding donor recognition display
Invitation to a Phase 1 preview/open house event
Includes a 3-month: $30/month level family membership when Phase 1 opens
Early registration access for select opening events or programs
50% off workshops or classes during Phase 1

Discovery Circle — $1,500

Includes all Founding Family benefits, plus:

Enhanced recognition on the donor recognition display
Invitation to a founder-only preview event
Priority registration for select workshops, programs, and opening events
Behind-the-scenes updates on Phase 1 and future exhibit development
Opportunity to participate in a founder feedback conversation or preview session

Creative Circle — $2,500

Includes all Discovery Circle benefits, plus:

Elevated donor recognition in Phase 1 campaign materials
Invitation to a VIP preview experience before public opening
Workshop or program credits during Phase 1

Wonder Builder — $5,000

Includes all Creative Circle benefits, plus:

Premium donor recognition on founding donor materials
Invitation to a leadership donor preview or small-group museum update
Opportunity to be associated with a program, access initiative, or engagement effort when available
Special acknowledgement during opening season events

Cornerstone Founder — $10,000

Includes all Wonder Builder benefits, plus:

Major donor recognition as a Cornerstone Founder
Prominent recognition on founding donor materials
Invitation to private or small-group preview experience with museum leadership
Custom stewardship touchpoint with the Executive Director or board leadership
Opening event recognition where appropriate
