What makes the Down to Funk Festival special:

We're a small start-up with big values: Fair pay for artists, meals provided for everyone, a full weekend showcasing local and national bands, strengthening networks of independent music production, and bringing funk music fans together with an energy that unites across space, rhythm, and time—reminding everyone of our humanity and the connections we share.

Down to Funk feels different from other music festivals—and 100% of your contribution helps build a community that supports our unique approach.

What we stand for:

Paying a living wage
Elevating live music as human connection
Providing a safe and welcoming space to build community and belonging
Respecting our environment as our home
When you feel good you do good

Our first Down to Funk Festival proved that we can do it. We need your help to do it again.

19 bands, 3 stages, 4 shared meals, and 400 people digging the funk in the California Redwoods in the summer of 2026. We stayed true to our mission, brought together a community of old and new friends, and created an epic experience that people are still talking about. Together we raised more than $20,000 in individual donations towards the first festival, but we need your help to protect fair pay, make sure meals are covered, and keep tickets affordable for 2027.

If your employer offers a matching program, remember to submit your donation for a match.
