Help us fund confidential counseling for our heroes, one at a time.

Police officers, firefighters and veterans protect our businesses, our families and our community. Many carry the weight of that work home, and too many believe that asking for help could cost them their career.

More officers die by suicide than in the line of duty. In 2022, 160 U.S. law enforcement officers died by suicide, compared with 118 killed in the line of duty. (Blue H.E.L.P.; FBI)

Heroes Outreach Foundation is changing that. We pay licensed counselors directly, so officers and first responders get care that is confidential, at no cost to them, and never reported to their employer.

The Founding 100

We're inviting 100 local businesses to give $500 each and launch this program together.

$50,000 total funds confidential counseling for about 33 officers

$1,500 covers a full course of up to 10 sessions for one officer

$500 funds more than three sessions for someone who needs help today

Short impact report showing what the program accomplished

Heroes Outreach was built by people who've lived it. Our chairman, Major Teddy Colegate (USMC, Ret.), served 22 years in the Marine Corps, with command in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our president, Kaitlin Colegate, is a former firefighter. Our team has supported heroes since 2013.

Your business can be one of the first 100 to stand behind the people who protect us.

FAQ

Is the counseling confidential?

Can my business give more than $500?
Yes. Any gift of $500 or more makes you a Founding 100 Partner, and larger gifts are recognized at higher levels.

Is it tax-deductible?
Heroes Outreach Foundation's application for 501(c)(3) status is pending with the IRS. Once it's approved, it applies back to our incorporation date, and we'll send updated receipts. Talk to your accountant about how your business should record the gift.
