UPDATE 10/08/2026:

Since the Border Patrol raid began on Monday, October 5, at least 30 people have been arrested and cited by Border Patrol. Many have spent the night on the floor of a Border Patrol station before being dropped off at a nearby McDonald's the next day. BP agents have beaten protesters peppersprayed them, and used pain compliance tactics on them--several have needed to seek medical attention after being released from jail.

The costs associated with these injuries and charges will be significant! Please help us support these brave land defenders.

UPDATE 10/05/2026

Fund extended to support those arrested during Border Patrol raid!

We have extended the campaign to support those arrested during Border Patrol's raid on camp on Monday, October 5, 2026.

Please support these brave land defenders!

Original post:

On September 14, three land defenders dressed in bird and jaguar costumes were arrested by Cochise County sheriffs ten miles east of Lochiel/La Noria while protesting border wall construction in the San Rafael Valley of southern Arizona. The arrests came after protesters shut down construction along a fifteen-mile stretch spanning both Cochise and Santa Cruz counties.

Please contribute to helping these land defenders as they face these charges! Funds will be used for costs associated with facing these charges, potentially including: bail, post-arrest costs, transportation to court, legal fees, attorney's fees, court fees and fines and other costs that may emerge directly related to the arrest. Excess funds will be used to support others facing charges.
