Join the NAACP Eugene-Springfield Branch as we celebrate 50 years of civil rights leadership in Lane County with an unforgettable evening honoring our past, celebrating our present, and investing in our future.

Freedom Through the Decades commemorates the Eugene-Springfield NAACP's legacy since 1976—five decades of advocating for justice, advancing equity, strengthening community, and creating opportunities for future generations. Throughout the evening, guests will experience inspiring performances that reflect the history, resilience, and cultural richness of the Black community, followed by a delicious, celebratory dinner at the historic Shedd Institute.

This milestone event is an opportunity to stand with neighbors, community leaders, advocates, partners and businesses who believe in a more just and equitable future for Lane County. Proceeds from the Freedom Fund Dinner support the Eugene-Springfield NAACP's ongoing work, including civic engagement, youth leadership and mentorship, education initiatives, advocacy, community organizing, and programs that advance civil and human rights throughout our region.

We will kick off the event with performances in the Jacque Concert Hall, followed by a pre-dinner mixer in the Cole Gallery. Beverages, appetizers and raffle tickets will be available during that time. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm in the Warren Court with light entertainment by local artists and catering by Styr Kurbside Kitchen.
