Friends of Anderson Bonner Park (FABP) is a community stewardship group recognized by the City of Dallas, dedicated to caring for Anderson Bonner Park and protecting the legacy and rich history it represents. We are neighbors, volunteers, and partners who believe a park should be clean, safe, accessible, and welcoming to everyone, every day of the year.

What We Stand For

We believe public green spaces are essential to community health. Rest, movement, and connection should belong to everyone, including older adults, people with disabilities, families, and long-time neighbors. That means a park that is well cared for, easy to enjoy, and safe during the day and after dark.

What We Do

Lead park clean-ups and trail care along Anderson Bonner Park and the White Rock Creek Trail
Install and maintain trail signage and park improvements, in coordination with Dallas Park & Recreation
Advocate for the safety of our park and trail through Light the Trail, our community-wide call for trail lighting
Host community events at the park, including the Halloween Audiobook Walk, that bring neighbors together
Partner with the City of Dallas and other community friends groups to steward our parks year-round

How Your Gift Helps

FABP is fiscally sponsored by The CALME Space, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every gift is received and administered by The CALME Space and used to support the park, from clean-up supplies and signage to community events and safety improvements.
