Many local volunteer organizations in Ukraine are under a lot of stress because the donations they are receiving are getting smaller while demand for their help is always rising. Among them is We Are United Ukraine  - a small officially registered nonprofit based in the center of Ukraine, in Zhashkiv (Cherkasy Oblast). These volunteers are supporting some of the hottest points of the frontlines, like Bakhmut, with medications, hygiene products, food & clothes, inventory & transportation. And now Sunflower Seeds Ukraine is helping these brave volunteers fundraise for the vehicle they need.

Every 10-14 days, a team of volunteers “We Are United Ukraine” from Cherkasy region makes deliveries to positions where the postal service does not reach because of shelling. These brave volunteers load their van with supplies and take the necessities where help is scarce and so needed. Right now they use a large van to make their deliveries. Due to its size and weight, they often get stuck while offroading to get closer to the soldiers, where it gets dangerous really quickly– even the road to Bakhmut is a target. Their van had to be pulled out with tanks one too many times, so the solution they have come up with is to get a smaller and lighter car that can more easily make the trips between the van full of supplies and soldiers’ positions.

The goal of this project is to provide a pickup truck to We Are United Ukraine (Фонд Ми Єдина Україна) volunteer group  in Zhashkiv, Cherkasy Oblast of Ukraine. This pickup truck will bring aid to front lines more efficiently and safer than the large and heavy van that often gets stuck on muddy roads. 

The cost for the vehicle they are looking to buy in Ukraine is $4,000. We Are United Ukraine volunteers have started fundraising for the car themselves, and now Sunflower Seeds Ukraine is sharing its platform to help support their mission. 

For one year of full-scale war, battles, and constant struggle the world has been united in support of Ukraine against russian crimes. With the the help of people all around the globe, the Ukrainian nation is standing strong against terror and genocide brought by russians.
