Our Story: Welcome to Ignite Theatre Company, proudly based in St. Louis City and founded in 2014 by Libby Pedersen. We’re a vibrant community where great people come first, and great performers shine second! Our mission is simple: create a space that feels like a second home for every performer, where creativity, kindness, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

At Ignite, we believe theatre is more than just the spotlight—it’s about building character, forming connections, and growing together as a community. Whether you're on stage, backstage, or simply in the audience, we offer experiences that ignite passion, inspire confidence, and equip individuals with valuable life skills.

We’re focused on creating great people first, and great performers second. We know that when you foster a supportive, inclusive community, the performances will follow. We’re not just shaping the next generation of theatre artists, but also future leaders, creatives, and changemakers.

Since our founding, Ignite has grown into a true second home for many of our performers—a space where lifelong friendships are formed, creativity thrives, and kindness is always in the spotlight. So, come find your theatre home with us, where you can be part of something bigger, share in the magic of live theatre, and grow alongside an amazing community.

Come for the kindness, stay for the creativity, and let’s create theatre magic together!
