Established in 2019, Mainers For Change is a dedicated coalition of advocates focused on advancing social equality and systemic reform within Kennebec, Franklin, Somerset, and Androscoggin Counties. We are a group of people dedicated to uplifting and celebrating marginalized groups across the state of Maine and beyond, fostering a welcoming space for solidarity, visibility, and collective action.

We believe in a Maine where geographic and demographic boundaries no longer limit the reach for justice or the power of collective advocacy. To turn that vision into immediate, tangible relief, we operate a lean, direct mutual aid network: we identify the immediate, urgent needs of local families, and we map them directly to community donors who can help.

Whether it is coordinating essential toiletries, distributing daily necessities, or executing bulk resource drop-offs, we act as the rapid-response logistics engine that connects a neighbor who has a resource with a neighbor who needs it.

Why We Are Raising $1,500

We don’t buy big warehouses, and we don’t pay corporate salaries. But running a mobile, rapid-response network across four massive counties requires a basic foundational engine to keep it alive.

We are raising $1,500 to fund our core operations and coordination efforts for the upcoming season. When you fund our operations, you aren't paying for paperwork—you are funding the exact logistics that turn a neighbor's goodwill into a family's lifeline.

$25 funds the digital intake platforms we use to securely track emergency community requests in real time.
$50 covers fuel stipends for our volunteers to execute bulk resource pickups and cross-county deliveries.
$100 keeps our community outreach toolkits, resource directories, and local matching networks live and accessible to families in crisis.

Our mission is to challenge systemic barriers within our four-county region by uniting local advocates and allies to celebrate peace, equality, acceptance, and love.
