Experienced caller Nick Hartley will lead the dancing, bringing decades of experience and enthusiasm to the floor. Whether you’re a longtime square dancer or simply looking for a fun way to spend the afternoon, come enjoy the music, movement, and community.

About the Caller
Nick Hartley began square dancing in Indianapolis in 1969 at age 10 and started calling in 1972. By 1973, he had become the caller for the Indiana Twirlers, a teenage precision exhibition group that performed at the National Square Dance Convention in San Antonio.

Since 1974, Nick has taught square dance classes in Indiana and Florida, including classes for blind students at the Indiana School for the Blind. He later became a full-time traveling caller and has served as a staff or featured caller at festivals, dance programs, and events across the United States as well as in Canada and Europe. He is a past president of the Greater Indianapolis Caller Association, a longtime member of CALLERLAB, and founder of Solid Gold Records and Yellow Rose Records.

Nick continues to call full time today, with regular weekly programs in Slidell, Louisiana; Magnolia Springs, Alabama; and Pensacola, Florida.
