On Purim day, we are commanded to give directly to those in need so they can celebrate with dignity and joy. Matanot La’Evyonim is one of the four mitzvot of Purim, and one of the most powerful.

This year, Shabbat Angels is making it simple and meaningful for our community to fulfill this special mitzvah.

All funds raised through this campaign will be distributed on Purim day in accordance with halacha.

Your donation will be used to:

• Add grocery funds directly to local families in need so they can purchase food for their Purim seudah
• Support families facing financial hardship within our community
• In partnership with The BACH Jewish Center, assist a mother of three children who is urgently working to secure stable housing after leaving an abusive situation

This mother is currently living in a shelter and must check in daily to meet her basic needs. She is seeking assistance with rent so she can provide a safe, secure home for her children and begin rebuilding her life.

When you give Matanot La’Evyonim, you are not just donating money, you are restoring dignity, stability, and simcha on Purim day.

While donations may be made before Purim, all funds designated for Matanot La’Evyonim will be distributed on Purim day itself so that the mitzvah is fulfilled properly.
