Chicago South Side Birth Center and Chicago Abortion Fund are coming together for an evening of honest, judgement-free education about abortion care – rooted in our communities, our history, and our right to make decisions about our bodies.

This is a space to ask real questions and get real answers. Whether you’re exploring your own options, walking alongside someone you love, organizing for access, or dreaming about a future in care work, you belong in this room.

Abortion care is reproductive care. At Chicago South Side Birth Center, we practice full spectrum care – which means we walk with people through every outcome of a pregnancy, not just the ones that end in a birthday. The same midwifery hands that catch babies also provide abortion care, pregnancy loss support, and postpartum healing. It’s all one circle.

Together we’ll explore:

Midwifery-led abortion care
How medical and surgical abortion actually work
Holistic ways to prepare and heal
Decolonizing abortion across cultures
The legal landscape of Illinois and nationwide
How to find reputable clinics and support
Pathways into care work as a doula, midwife, or physician
The barriers our communities face and the solutions taking root on the South Side

You’ll leave with trusted resources to keep, a stronger sense of your options, and a community that has your back.

Free to attend. Space is limited so please RSVP.

Abortion is healthcare.
