This August, I’ll take on the 2026 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge—one of the world’s toughest long-distance motorcycle endurance rides. Covering more than 10,000 miles, riders navigate using only daily route instructions—no GPS, no pre-planned hotels, and no shortcuts. It’s a true test of endurance, resilience, and determination.

But this ride is about far more than reaching the finish line.

I’m dedicating my Hoka Hey journey to raising funds for the Brunswick BEACON, a nonprofit organization that provides food, emergency financial assistance, and hope to individuals and families facing difficult times right here in our community.

As a U.S. Navy veteran, a longtime Brunswick resident, former Commander of American Legion Post 96, and former Frederick County American Legion Commander, I’ve seen the incredible impact a community can make when neighbors help neighbors.

The Brunswick BEACON serves those who need it most by providing meals, helping families avoid homelessness, offering emergency assistance, and restoring hope during life’s most difficult moments. I’m proud to ride in support of this vital mission.
