The One Million Strong Initiative is a community-powered campaign to help open Innovations Leadership Academy, a nonprofit private K–8 school planned for East Fort Worth, Texas, in August 2027.

Our goal is to unite one million people around the belief that every child deserves access to an excellent education, caring teachers, safe classrooms, modern technology, and meaningful opportunities to succeed.

The Current Need

Families in East Fort Worth need greater access to safe, high-quality educational opportunities that meet children where they are and prepare them to succeed academically and personally. Many students—especially those from low-to-moderate-income and historically underserved communities—need smaller classes, individualized support, strong teachers, modern technology, and engaging learning experiences that may not otherwise be within their families’ reach.

Innovations Leadership Academy is being developed as a nonprofit private K–8 school where students can receive personal attention in classrooms designed to enroll no more than 14 students per teacher. Our educational model will combine strong core academics with leadership development, STEM, robotics, technology, enrichment activities, field experiences, and targeted support for students who may be performing below grade level.

Our goal is to open in East Fort Worth in August 2027, beginning with approximately 168 to 336 students. Reaching that goal requires substantial startup funding. The One Million Strong Initiative seeks to raise $15 million to help make an ILA education accessible and affordable for families, secure and prepare a school facility, furnish classrooms, purchase student technology and instructional materials, recruit and compensate qualified teachers and staff, provide meals and student support, strengthen campus safety, and establish the working capital necessary for a responsible and sustainable school opening.

This is more than a campaign to open a building. It is an investment in children, families, teachers, and the future of East Fort Worth. Our Vision for Expansion

Our vision extends beyond opening-day enrollment. Innovations Leadership Academy plans to begin by serving approximately 168 to 336 students in kindergarten through eighth grade and then grow responsibly toward a capacity of approximately 504 students as staffing, facilities, funding, and community demand allow.

As the school expands, we envision adding classrooms and specialized learning spaces while maintaining class sizes of no more than 14 students per teacher. Growth will allow us to strengthen our academic intervention programs; expand STEM, robotics, and technology instruction; offer additional leadership and enrichment opportunities; and provide more field trips, cultural experiences, guest programs, and hands-on learning experiences.

We also envision developing a strong support system for students, families, and educators. This includes recruiting and retaining excellent teachers, providing ongoing professional development, investing in classroom resources, supporting student meals and wellness, and building meaningful partnerships with businesses, foundations, colleges, community organizations, and local leaders.

Our long-term goal is to create a financially sustainable and academically strong school model that can serve generations of Fort Worth families. After establishing a successful and stable East Fort Worth campus, we hope to explore opportunities to expand the model to additional underserved communities where families are seeking smaller classes, individualized instruction, innovative programs, and access to a high-quality private-school education that is accessible and affordable for families.

The $15 million One Million Strong Initiative will help establish the foundation needed for this growth. Our objective is not simply to enroll more students—it is to expand carefully while protecting educational quality, maintaining personal attention, and ensuring that every child who enters Innovations Leadership Academy is known, supported, challenged, and prepared to lead.

Your Donation Helps Build the School

Your donation will go towards supporting:

Purchase, lease, and renovation of a school facility

Student laptops, software, STEM, robotics, and technology
Teacher and staff recruitment, training, and compensation

Working capital and other school-opening expenses

Donations support the overall charitable and educational purposes of the campaign. Spending may be adjusted among these priorities according to the school’s most urgent needs.

Trust and Transparency

Innovations Leadership Academy is a nonprofit private K–8 school being developed as an educational program of Baskerville Squared Inc., a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to the One Million Strong Initiative are received and administered by Baskerville Squared Inc. in support of the campaign's charitable and educational purposes.
