Simple Belief

Black Iowa Outdoors was created from a simple belief: Black Iowans deserve to experience and see themselves in outdoor spaces, feel welcome in nature, and have opportunities to connect, heal, and build community.

The Growing Need for Connection

What started as a love for the outdoors has grown into a community movement. Through free hikes, cleanups, educational experiences, health-focused activities, and meaningful connections, we're creating spaces where people can breathe, move, explore, and simply be.

Our Vision for Expansion

With your professional partnership, we aim to standardize and expand our offerings. Our strategic plan includes:

Expanded Programming: Increasing the frequency of outdoor activities and excursions, and environmental conservation education
Accessibility: Removing potential financial barriers for participants.
Health Initiatives: Integrating wellness workshops into our outdoor sessions to maximize the health benefits of nature.

Your Investment

Your contribution makes this work possible. Every dollar helps provide supplies, support free programming, and create more opportunties for our community to get outside, get active, and connect.
