Unity Prep Opens Doors for All Students.

Founded in 2013, Unity Prep serves 500+ students in grades 6–12 across Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville, Crown Heights, and Williamsburg. Nearly 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 25% have identified learning needs — yet our scholars are proving what's possible when a school builds a continuous pipeline of learning, exposure, and support around every child.

The results speak for themselves: 97% of our Class of 2025 graduated on time, with 94% four-year graduation and postsecondary admission rates. 42% of our students take AP coursework, and 28% earn college credit before they even receive their diploma.

Those outcomes are reflected in a growing list of recent milestones:

Rated "Excellent" by NYC Public Schools. Last year, Unity was named one of just two middle schools in our district to be deemed "Excellent" for performance and instruction — a powerful affirmation of the strong teaching and learning happening in our classrooms every day.
#1 college-going rate among Brooklyn charter high schools. This past year, Unity High achieved an 84% college-going rate — the highest among charter schools in the borough. A greater percentage of our Class of 2025 graduates enrolled in college this fall than at any other charter high school in Brooklyn.
A growing International Travel Program, preparing to send students on their first-ever trips abroad and open their world to new possibilities.
A debate team already turning heads: in partnership with the Brooklyn Debate League, our team qualified for NY State and NCFL nationals and was featured on the Malcolm Gladwell podcast and in a Vice News documentary.

None of this happens without community support. Your gift — at any level — helps sustain the pipeline of opportunity every young person at Unity Prep deserves.
