Recovery Should Never Be Out of Reach

Every day in New Mexico, individuals and families face the devastating effects of substance use disorders. For many people, the decision to seek help is one of the most important decisions they will ever make.

Unfortunately, making that decision does not always mean treatment is within reach.

For too many New Mexicans, the greatest barrier to recovery isn't a lack of willingness to change. It's the inability to pay for treatment.

At Recovery NM, we believe that financial circumstances should not determine whether someone has an opportunity to rebuild their life.

Why Recovery NM Was Founded

Recovery NM was founded by Sean Roberts and Gary Gamboa, two individuals who understand the challenges of addiction and the life-changing possibilities of recovery.

Through their experience in the recovery community, they recognized a troubling reality: people were reaching out for help, ready to make changes in their lives, but were unable to access treatment because they lacked insurance, adequate coverage, or the financial resources to pay.

Recovery NM was created to help close that gap.

Our Mission: Removing Financial Barriers to Treatment

Recovery NM is a New Mexico nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for substance use treatment scholarships.

Our goal is to help eligible New Mexico residents access treatment through qualified providers throughout the state, regardless of where they live or which treatment center they choose.

As donations and funding become available, Recovery NM works toward providing financial assistance to individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford the care they need.

We believe recovery can strengthen not only individuals, but also families, workplaces, and entire communities.
