Making Youth Sports Accessible For All!

LeagueApps is organizing a fundraising campaign for the FundPlay Foundation, a newly-formed nonprofit with the mission to build operational capacity for its partners and increase access to amazing youth sports experiences.

FundPlay was originally formed as a philanthropic program within LeagueApps in order to support sports-based youth development organizations doing amazing work in underserved communities. By spinning off as a public charity, the FundPlay Foundation will be able to build upon the foundation laid by LeagueApps, while still receiving support from LeagueApps in the form of a cash commitment, software licenses, and more.

Check out our 2022 Impact Report here!

Last year LeagueApps' FundPlay Drive benefitted South Bronx United in order to help them build a mini pitch to be able to provide more soccer opportunities in their community. We raised $50,000 for SBU and were on hand to cut the ribbon on their new play space in September 2022!

Our Plan For 2023

Our goal with this event is to raise $100,000 for FundPlay Foundation. The Foundation has committed the first $50,000 raised to build two new play spaces in Inglewood, California in partnership with the LA Dodgers Foundation. These new Dodgers Dreamfields will provide opportunities for youth in Inglewood - who so often do not have access to safe and accessible recreation spaces - to play baseball and softball in Inglewood.

Residents in Inglewood have limited access to recreational spaces compared to their Los Angeles County neighbors, and the best performing cities and communities have more than 60x the available recreation space compared to Inglewood. Additionally, in Los Angeles County 1 of 3 adults said there were not enough opportunities for their children to play sports, and the rate was higher among lower-income households, according to a 2022 survey by the LA84 Foundation.

In addition to its targeted support in Los Angeles, FundPlay Foundation will expand the organizational capacity it provides to sports-based youth development organizations nationwide, giving kids access and giving organizations the infrastructure they need to succeed.

100% of all donations go to charity!

FundPlay Foundation has applied for 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service.  All donations to this campaign will be retroactively tax-deductible according to the rules of the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)3 once that application is approved.
