Ashlie’s Embrace began with one family’s heartbreak—the loss of Ashlie Cathren in 2015. Through their grief, Erin and Tony Maroon found a mission: to ensure families experiencing stillbirth or infant loss have the gift of time to say goodbye. This mission inspired the placement of CuddleCots—special devices that preserve an infant's body, extending time after loss and allowing families to create precious final memories.

Each CuddleCot costs $3,500, and when you fundraise with us, you’re not just raising money—you’re partnering with Ashlie’s Embrace to ensure every step of the process is handled with care. From working with hospitals to import the CuddleCots from the UK, to planning and coordinating dedications, we manage everything so you can focus on making a difference.

For supporters who fully fund a CuddleCot, a memorial plaque will be placed on the unit in their selected hospital. If a campaign does not reach its goal, the funds will be pooled with other supporters to fund additional CuddleCots, each of which will be memorialized with an Ashlie’s Embrace plaque.
