Thank you for taking the time to read our story below and consider donating to help us provide a Cuddle Cot to a Kansas City hospital in need. Our goal is $3,500 as this is the average cost of a Cuddle Cot system.
My name is Emily Aden and my loving husband is Dr. Grant Aden. We found out on November 6th, 2025 that our sweet baby boy, Emmanuel “Manny” Robert Aden, had passed away at term. He was and is our first baby, so greatly yearned for and loved.
Manny was born on Friday, November 7th at 4:33 pm at 21 in and 7 lbs exactly. He had adorable big hands and feet and lots of velvety brown hair covering his head. Most of all, he was perfect. The miraculous feeling of love and warmth while holding him brought us great comfort during the worst three days of our lives. It is something that Grant and I will never forget. We and Manny’s grandparents were able to spend lots of time with him on Friday and Saturday thanks to a cooling Cuddle Cot provided by our hospital, watching college football together like we always dreamed of and memorizing every small feature of his face.
We don’t, and may never know why something so horrible happened to us and our perfect baby boy, along with many other families who have experienced infant loss. We do know that our baby boy in heaven gave us the priceless privilege of becoming mom and dad, which is something we will always treasure. He will always be our first baby, and we know he is constantly interceding for all of us and his future siblings.
Thank you again for your generosity and support for this gift of time that the Cuddle Cot can provide to parents experiencing infant loss.
