Hi, I'm Ra. I'll be teaching the poetry class for the Week of Wellness, and opening it with a reading from myself and a couple of amazing poets I'm lucky enough to know. Story
Initiate Justice's mission is to end mass incarceration by activating the power of the people it directly impacts. We organize our members, both inside and outside of prisons, to advocate for their freedom and change criminal justice policy in California.
We have more than 38,000 incarcerated members, 160 Inside Organizers, 106 Outside Organizers, and dozens of Outside Members throughout California.
We are 100% led by people directly impacted by incarceration.
As part of this fundraiser, anyone who donates to this campaign is invite to attend a Week of Wellness class on Zoom. We do ask that if you plan to attend an event, a suggested donation of $10 - $25 per event is appreciated.
The Week of Wellness classes are:
Monday, May 24th, 6:30 - 7:30pm | Body Workout and Stretch with Julie
Tuesday, May 25th, 6:00 - 7:00pm | Storytelling Poetry with Ra
Thursday, May 27th, 6:00pm - 7:00pm | Bachata with Enoch & Josefina
