Black birthing individuals face some of the highest maternal mortality and mental health disparities in the U.S. Many lack access to culturally affirming care, essential baby items, and emotional support during and after pregnancy. The Black Girls Mental Health Foundation (BGMHF) is dedicated to changing this reality by providing free diapers, wipes, formula, and baby essentials to families in need while raising awareness of maternal health disparities and solutions.

This Maternal Health Week (April 11 - 17, 2025), we are showing up in person and online to uplift, educate, and support Black birthing individuals. We need your help to make it happen!

How We’re Taking Action:

📍 San Leandro, CA (April 12) – Attending a Community Baby Shower where we’ll distribute essential baby care items.

📍 Atlanta, GA (April 12) – We will attend the Black Mamas Matter event, sharing mental health resources, giveaways, and support for Black mothers.

$25 provides a diaper and wipe bundle for a new parent.

📌 Only 4% of Black women receive postpartum mental health support—we need to change that!
