In the summer of 2026, members of Operation Providing Hope will travel thousands of miles from home-not for adventure, but for purpose.

We are answering a call that began long before us, in rural western Kenya, where loss once silenced entire communities.

For decades, the HIV/AIDS epidemic robbed countless women of their husbands, their livelihoods, and their standing in society. Many widows were forced from their land, left without shelter, health care, or protection for their children. In these villages, survival often meant walking hours just to see a medical provider if one was available at all.

That is when Nyogaya Foundation stepped in.

Nyogaya Foundation exists to restore dignity where loss once ruled. Through faith, compassion, and action, they have empowered more than 1500 widows-now lovingly called jewels-and their children with safe shelter, access to health care, education, and sustainable ways to provide for their families. What was once grief has become strength. What was once silence has become leadership.

Operation Providing Hope is honored to join this mission on the ground.
