SING: Savannah Inspiring the Next Generation is far more than a children’s choir. It is a vibrant community where young people discover confidence, joy, and the transformative power of music. Under the leadership of Rebecca Flaherty and the dedicated SING team, students are encouraged not only to develop their musical talents, but also to find their voices in a supportive and uplifting environment.

As my own son, a proud member of SING, often says, “They make singing fun.” Anyone who spends even one afternoon observing a rehearsal can immediately sense the energy in the room. The students’ enthusiasm is contagious, the excitement palpable, and the positive atmosphere draws in children and parents alike. The passion and commitment shown by both the students and staff make SING a place you simply want to be a part of.

It is this spirit that inspired me to participate in an upcoming fundraising opportunity. While I may not be a trained singer or an artist, I am a Savannah-born chef with many years of experience. When I learned about the chance to help support such an impactful organization, I knew exactly how I wanted to contribute. I have offered to design a special menu and to donate my catering services to support what promises to be a memorable evening of music, community, and purpose.
