Gershom Washington's Story

💻 I'm Chasing My Dreams—And This Scholarship Is Fueling the Journey

Hi, my name is Gershom, and I’m someone who believes it’s never too late to turn things around and chase after the future you want. I didn’t go to college straight out of high school, but I’m on a new path now—and I’m all in.

My goal is to graduate with my master’s in Computer Science by 2031. I’m passionate about programming, coding, and making music—and I’m also someone who thrives on connection, whether that’s spending time with friends or meeting new people with different perspectives and ideas.

This next chapter of my life is about building something meaningful—a career, a purpose, and a future I’m proud of.

🎓 What This Scholarship Means to Me

Winning the Warrior On The Rise Scholarship means the world to me. It’s more than financial support—it’s a second chance. It’s a boost of confidence, a reminder that my dreams are valid, and that there are people out there who see my potential and want to help me succeed.

This scholarship is helping me take those first, critical steps toward building the life I’ve always envisioned—one line of code, one class, one breakthrough at a time.

🚀 Help More Warriors Like Me Rise

This year, I’m proud to be one of 27 Warrior On The Rise scholars—a huge increase from the 10 scholarships awarded in previous years. That kind of growth is only possible because people like you believe in students like me who are trying, rising, and pushing forward against the odds.

When you donate to the Warrior On The Rise Scholarship Fund, you help open doors for more warriors like me who are ready to turn their potential into real progress.

Thank you for helping me move forward—and for supporting the next warrior, too.
