🧬 I’m Studying Biomedical Engineering—And Refusing to Be Defined by My Diagnosis
Hi, my name is [Insert Name], and this fall, I plan to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I’ll be majoring in Biomedical Engineering. My dream is to one day work in medical research, helping to create new solutions and breakthroughs that can change lives—including for people living with Sickle Cell Disease, like me.
In my free time, I love baking, volunteering at my local library, and doing arts and crafts. These creative outlets give me peace, purpose, and joy.
But living with Sickle Cell Disease has often made me feel alone. Where I live, very few people even know what this condition is, let alone understand it. Honestly, it can feel isolating. Sometimes I’m even embarrassed to share that I have Sickle Cell because I don’t want to be treated differently or misunderstood.
🎓 Why This Scholarship Means So Much
Winning the Warrior On The Rise Scholarship is more than a financial blessing—it’s a reminder that I’m not alone. It shows me that there are people out there who see me, who understand the struggle, and who are rooting for me to rise above it.
This scholarship proves that I am not defined by my diagnosis. It proves that my condition doesn’t get to decide where I go to college, or what I’m capable of achieving.
🌟 Help the Next Warrior Rise
I’m one of 27 students who received this incredible scholarship this year—up from just 10 in the past. That growth is only possible because of generous supporters who believe in our strength, our dreams, and our futures.
When you donate to the Warrior On The Rise Scholarship Fund, you help students like me overcome isolation, defy expectations, and pursue big, bold goals.
Thank you for believing in us—and for helping the next warrior rise.
