25 YEARS OF IMPACT. A FUTURE WORTH INVESTING IN.

Since 2001, the Filipino Education Center Galing Bata has provided culturally rooted education, mentorship, leadership development, arts programming, and community support that help young people grow with confidence, pride, and a strong sense of belonging. Thousands of students and families have passed through our doors, building friendships, discovering their voices, strengthening their cultural identity, and finding a community that believes in them.

As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we invite you to join us in honoring this legacy and helping build the future.

For many students, Galing Bata is more than an educational program. It is a place where they can connect with their culture, explore their creativity, build lifelong friendships, and develop the confidence to pursue their dreams. For families, it is a trusted partner that provides encouragement, resources, and community. For our staff and mentors, many of whom began as students and interns themselves, it is a lifelong commitment to lifting up the next generation.

As our community faces rising living costs, growing youth mental health needs and barriers affecting immigrant families and children with disabilities, culturally responsive and community-centered programs remain essential. At the same time, rising operational costs and funding gaps challenge our ability to sustain and strengthen the programs and services that families rely on.

Your support will help us continue providing accessible, culturally responsive opportunities for children and families while strengthening Galing Bata's future.

Your Contribution Supports:

Youth education and cultural enrichment programs
Leadership development and internship opportunities
Mental health and wellness support for youth and families
Programs supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs
Family engagement activities and community celebrations
General operations that sustain and strengthen Galing Bata's work

A New Chapter for Galing Bata

This milestone also marks an exciting new chapter. Galing Bata now has a permanent home at the Kalayaan Center in San Francisco's SoMa Pilipinas Cultural Heritage District, creating a space where future generations of youth and families can continue to learn, grow and thrive.

Help Us Reach Our $25,000 Goal

Our goal is to raise $25,000 in unrestricted funds to sustain Galing Bata's programs and operations, ensuring that future generations have access to the opportunities, encouragement and sense of belonging that have defined our first 25 years.

Galing Bata is a project of the Filipino American Development Foundation (FADF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the social, economic, educational and cultural well-being of Filipino Americans and underserved communities. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Whether you are a parent, alumnus, community member, partner or friend, your generosity makes a meaningful difference.

Together, we can ensure that Galing Bata remains a place of home, hope, opportunity and community for generations to come.

Thank you for celebrating 25 years with us and investing in the future of our youth.

Maraming salamat po!
