Gays, Theys and Mountain Days: Pride on the Rocks is taking Pride indoors for a special climbing night at CityROCK Climbing Center. Join us on Saturday, May 16, from 5 PM to 8 PM for an evening of movement, connection, and community in a fun and welcoming environment. Whether you are an experienced climber or trying it for the first time, this event is open to all skill levels.

Space is limited to 50 participants, and pre registration is required at $25.

Come challenge yourself, meet new people, and celebrate the strength of our LGBTQIA+ community one climb at a time. Expect supportive energy, plenty of encouragement, and a night full of Pride.

Waivers

All participants, chaperones, and observers (anyone entering the facility) are required to have a waiver on file prior to being allowed into the main gym space. The waivers can be completed and submitted ahead of time by visiting climbcityrock.com or by clicking on the following link:

Minors, under the age of 18, must have their waiver completed by a parent or legal guardian.

Clothing

We recommend that participants wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. Climbing shoes and harnesses are available to use and are included in the price of the booking. We allow climbing in closed toe shoes that fit securely (no Crocs, sandals, etc).

Belaying

If anyone in your group wants to belay (top-rope or lead), they will need to pass a CityROCK-administered test. You do NOT need to be able to belay; we have auto-belays that can accommodate individual climbers.

Orientation

After check-in, your group will watch a brief orientation video. A staff member will then provide a hands-on autobelay demonstration for each participant. Once everyone has completed the demonstration, your group will be free to start climbing on their own.

Supervision

For group reservations, we require a minimum chaperone-to-participant ratio to ensure the safety of all climbers. The required ratios are:

Ages 5–11: One chaperone for every five participants.

Ages 12–17: One chaperone for every eight participants.

Groups that do not meet these supervision requirements may be asked to have some participants sit out to maintain the necessary ratios.
