This summer, GCSA is launching its first-ever Career Readiness Summer Academy, an intensive week-long experience designed to prepare rising high school juniors with the professional skills, confidence, and workplace experience they need to succeed internships, careers, and beyond.

The Academy will bring together 15 students from New Design High School, Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction, Urban Assembly Gateway School of Technology, East Side Community High School, and Bronx School of Letters for a hands-on week of learning and professional development.

Throughout the Academy, students will:

Develop professional communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Explore how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming today's workplace.
Learn directly from guest speakers and professionals representing a variety of industries.
Serve as consultants for GCSA, working in teams on real projects that will strengthen our organization and improve outcomes for the students and communities we serve.
Present their recommendations during a Demo Day Showcase at the conclusion of the Academy.

Your support helps remove barriers to participation by providing daily lunch stipends, student stipends, professional clothing assistance, program supplies, and a welcoming, professional learning environment.
