28 Days of Giving: Building the Class of 2028 Scholarship Fund

Giving Tuesday marked the launch of GCSA’s year-end giving campaign — and our community showed up. Thanks to early support, we’ve raised $4,300 toward the Class of 2028 Scholarship Fund.

Now, during our 28 Days of Giving (December 3–31), we’re pushing to reach our $8,000 year-end goal, enough to fully fund two student scholarships for the Class of 2028.

For decades, GCSA has helped NYC public school students access postsecondary opportunities through direct financial support. Today, leadership transitions and limited funding mean that scholarship support cannot be taken for granted. Without renewed investment, GCSA will be unable to offer scholarships to future student cohorts beyond the current cycle.

That’s why we are building the Class of 2028 Scholarship Fund — with a long-term goal of $280,000 over four years — to protect scholarships for this class and for the students who follow.

This is a pivotal moment. What we raise now determines what remains possible next year.

Recognized on the GCSA website as an early supporter of the Class of 2028 Scholarship Fund.

Be a Foundation Setter — $100+
Recognized on the GCSA website and in GCSA’s FY26 Annual Report.

Be a Groundbreaker — $250+
Recognized on the GCSA website, in the FY26 Annual Report, and on GCSA social media. Groundbreakers also receive one complimentary ticket to our Annual Scholars Benefit this spring.

We’re more than halfway to our $8,000 year-end goal — and with your help, we can cross the finish line before December 31.
