Gear Goals: Help Us Equip the Next Generation

Every child deserves the chance to play with confidence, safety, and pride.

Gear Goals is our community-driven initiative that provides essential soccer gear such as cleats, balls, shin guards, socks, and more to youth players. Whether they're participating in our own Foundation programs or playing through other local organizations, your donation helps to remove financial barriers of the game and keeps kids on the field.

With your support, we can:

Provide essential gear to youth players that help to keep them safe and prepared on the field.
Support fellow community programs and Foundation Partners with essential gear for the players in their program.
Foster confidence and inclusivity along with the love of the game, without cost barriers.

100% of your donation goes directly to getting gear into the hands (and onto the feet!) of young athletes.

There are Two Ways to Suport!

Make a Donation to Help Purchase Gear

Your generosity = shin guards, soccer balls, socks, jerseys, and more!

Through our Gear Goals program, we collect both equipment and the funds needed to outfit youth players with the gear they need to learn, grow, and shine on the field. This also helps to ensure that cost is never a barrier to joining the beautiful game. Simply Select your giving level and help to provide essential equipment to local youth players, creating the chance for every young athlete to feel ready and confident. Every gift keeps a kid in play!

Support A Player

$10 = provides a youth player with shin guards $50 = provides a youth player with cleats

$25 = provides a youth player with a soccer ball + socks $75 = provides a youth player with a practice jersey

$100 = fully equips a youth player for a season

Team Champions

$250 = provides a youth team with soccer balls & ball bag $750 = provides an entire youth team with practice jerseys

$500 = provides an entire youth team with cleats $1,000 = fully equips a youth team for an entire season

Donate New or Gently Used Gear!

Throughout the year, the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation collects new or gently used soccer equipment to help young athletes gear up for the season! These donations will be distributed to youth teams in the area throughout the year. Equipment should be in youth sizes that fit players between U6 (5-6 years old) to U17 (16-17 years old).

Items we accept:

Cleats
Soccer balls and ball bags
Shin guards
Soccer Socks
Jerseys/training tops/training bottoms
Water bottles
Goalie gloves & gear (including goalie jersey)
Practice equipment (cones, pinnies, etc.)

*please ensure that donated equipment is either new or gently used and suitable for play

Looking for a way to engage your workplace, school, or friends? Host a collection drive at your office, church, or next event! Sports Retail Partners & Local Vendors

Local sporting goods stores, vendors, and equipment providers play a vital role in helping young athletes access the gear they need. We welcome donations of new soccer equipment and athletic gear to support our Gear Goals program.
