At Lillie May Carroll Jackson Charter School, we teach our girls to take up space — in classrooms, on stages, and in the world.

Now, they’re about to take that spirit all the way to Paris, France, where the LMCJ Dance G.E.M.S. will perform at Disneyland® Paris as part of Dance the World 2026!

For our girls, this is more than just a dance trip.

It’s about belonging — being seen, celebrated, and confident in who they are. It’s about seeing the world beyond Baltimore and realizing that the hard work they’ve poured into rehearsals, teamwork, and self-expression can take them anywhere.

When our students perform, they bring their whole selves: the rhythm of their city, the discipline of their practice, and the joy of knowing they’ve earned their place on stage.

Families have already paid deposits and are working hard to fundraise — but we want to make sure that no dancer who’s earned her spot has to stay home because of cost.

Student travel and lodging costs
Dance uniforms and performance materials
Meals and travel-related expenses for our young performers

Every dollar gets us closer to making this dream a reality for 13 LMCJ scholars who have practiced, fundraised, and dreamed their way to Disney.

We say at LMCJ that learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door.

For these girls, learning means teamwork, confidence, and believing they can stand on any stage — even one halfway across the world.
