The 2023 "Get Outdoors Challenge" raises money for Local Veterans by funding future outdoor activities and events designed to help Veterans reconnect with themselves through outdoor Adventure, Recreation, and Fitness activities.

You can help us reach our goal by clicking the fundraise button above and becoming a team member on this fundraising page! By having others help you raise money and hitting your goal $ amount, you are providing a Veteran the opportunity to be part of future outdoor activities at no cost to them! Don't forget to share this with your friends and family members on all your social media profiles. Creating a goal, sharing that goal, and having others donate gives us an opportunity to reach more people!

All donations are appreciated and any donation amount will help, but we made a few levels to create a little competition amongst the team members. Depending on how much money you can raise, we have some stickers, shirts, water bottles and some free tickets to the raffle at Dad's Kitchen Fair Oaks on April 26th.

Bottom line, Veterans are different. Veterans are conditioned to be resilient to pain and weakness. We spend years building up walls to prevent vulnerabilities from the enemy, and oftentimes that leaks into our civilian life after our time served. D2R recognized the need for a relatable community that can support a successful transition to peace by reinstating kindness and love for oneself. As we strive to improve the Mental Wellness of Military Veterans, we know these tools will benefit everyone!

WE ARE ASKING YOU TO BE A PART OF THIS "GET OUTDOORS CHALLENGE". Get Outdoors as much as you can in the month of April and you will clearly see the benefits it has on your Mental Wellness like lowered stress, anxiety and depression. We want to see you pushing yourself and really strive to make a change.

In the end, even simple outdoor activities like walking the dog or going on a bike ride can really make the difference.
