TYKEIA N. ROBINSON, PH.D., aka Dr. Keia, co-hosts the Gettin’ Grown podcast on the Loud Speakers Network. Getting’ Grown is a show by, for, and about black women (and men) who are negotiating the changes and challenges of the worst hood, adulthood. Dr. Keia and her co-host Chef Jade “JadeofAllJades” Verette have grown the Gettin’ Grown community of listeners to include over 28 million people since 2017. The podcast has hosted a wide range of awesome guests over the years including Reagan Gomez, Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche, Luvvie Ajayi Jones, Sarah Jakes Roberts, Dr. Yaba Blay, Dr. Brittany Cooper, Brittany Packnett Cunningham, Crissle West, and Fran of Hey Fran Hey. As a scholar of change and transformation, Tykeia brings her personal experience and professional expertise to conversations about the transitions, triumphs, trials, twists & turns of adulting. Tykeia also serves as a Senior Program Officer, on the Transformation at Scale Team for Postsecondary Success at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Her passion in higher education is in crafting and translating rigorous research & scholarship into practical tools that illuminate the processes of how organizations (and the people they are comprised of), learn, function, change & transform to serve all priorities and stakeholders with excellence and equity. She earned a B.A. from Manhattanville College and an M.A. from the University of Connecticut. She went on to earn an Ed.M. in Higher and Postsecondary Education from the Teacher’s College Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Maryland College Park. A firm believer in the necessity and utility of community, accountability, and support, Dr. Keia founded "TeamTypingFast" (TTF), an online community of practice that prioritizes the wellness, success, and productivity of Black women academics, corporate professionals, and entrepreneurs in 2017. Tykeia is committed to serving as an example that you can, and should, be your authentic, dynamic, wonderful self in EVERY space. When she’s not reading, writing, and #typingfast she can be found praising the Lord, watching tv, shopping, reading, writing, and laughing loudly. Her personal goals are to stay moisturized, do great work, and pursue and attain ALL things fabulous.

Chef Jade Verette, aka Jade of all Jades

Jade Verette aka JadeofallJades believes you deserve to feel good. Full stop. From the kitchen to your earbuds, the Brooklyn-based chef and veteran podcast personality brings distinct flavors, people, and topics into communion in ways that surprise and delight. Like many of her peers, the 2008 recession shifted Verette’s path, propelling her out of a career in the music industry, where she worked in A&R at a major record label, and into her passion for storytelling.
