What is the GFPD Day of Giving?
The GFPD Day of Giving is an annual online fundraising event. The GFPD Day of Giving is ONE DAY to inspire the GFPD community to make a gift. Your support during this event will help the GFPD continue to provide family support programs and fund research initiatives.

Can I give before February 28?
Yes! Whether you give online or through the mail, all gifts on or before February 28 will count towards Day of Giving. But, challenges only activate on February 28.

What's with the zebra stripes?
There's an idiom in healthcare to guide diagnosis: When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras. This means, look for the common illnesses since they are the most likely cause of a patient's symptoms. In the rare disease space, we say think zebras not horses. During Rare Disease Month (February), we show our stripes to raise awareness of peroxisomal disorders and all rare diseases.

What is the processing fee on my donation form?
We updated our online giving software for a better user experience. With that upgrade, there is a modest processing fee with each gift. Some donors choose to cover the fee for their donation. If you do not wish to cover this fee, simply uncheck the fee box.
