Help Launch Ghana Via

Ghana Via began with a conversation. A donor with roots in Ghana saw what Vias RD was doing in the Dominican Republic and wanted to bring a similar approach to his home country—with soccer connecting young people to education and mentorship.

We are now developing that initiative through The Straley Project. Our planned headquarters will be in Accra, and the work will begin in Cape Coast, his hometown.

In Barahona, Dominican Republic, our baseball program connects participation with school enrollment and support from local coaches. Ghana Via will adapt that approach through soccer, working with people who know the students, families, and communities we hope to serve.

Our initial plans include soccer coaching, equipment, and uniforms, alongside books, school supplies, and scholarships. We want young people to have the materials they need for school and adults who follow their progress beyond the field.

The broader vision includes school construction and water wells. Those projects will be developed separately with local partners, based on identified needs, available funding, and arrangements for their ongoing care.

Your gift can help us get started.

This campaign raises support for developing and launching Ghana Via. We are also working to identify a local group in Ghana to help fund the initiative. As partnerships and budgets are confirmed, we will share the first activities, specific funding needs, and progress from Cape Coast.

Ghana Via is not yet operating, and a launch date has not been set. Soccer, education assistance, school construction, and water projects are planned areas of work—not completed projects.

If you would like to support this beginning, please make a gift or share the campaign. If you represent a school, soccer organization, business, or funding group in Ghana, we welcome a conversation about working together.

Help us begin the work in Cape Coast.
