Food stamps (SNAP benefits) are being delayed in November due to the government shutdown.

PORCH Hillsborough had already planned to increase support for families this holiday season — but with this unexpected delay, the need has grown dramatically.

That’s why we’ve doubled our fundraising goal from $10,000 to $20,000 — so we can distribute grocery gift cards in December, helping families bridge the SNAP gap and shop for what they need most.

💚 Why It Matters

This year, we’re increasing the value of our grocery gift cards from $15 to $25 to better meet families’ needs during this challenging time.
That extra $10 means more fruits, more vegetables, and more meaningful choices for families facing food insecurity — and now, for many, it will help replace delayed food assistance.

We call this campaign “Give the Gift of Choice” because that’s exactly what your donation does — it empowers families to purchase the foods that best support their health, culture, and dignity.
