💚 Why It Matters

This winter, help local families choose the food that nourishes them most. As grocery prices continue to rise, we’re increasing our Food Lion gift cards to $30. That's $5 more on each card that we did last holiday season. We want to double the impact of each gift card and help families stretch their budgets further.

Gift cards give recipients more flexibility to choose foods that support their health, needs, and preferences. Food Lion has two locations in northern Orange County and offers affordable prices for the families we serve.

We call this campaign “Give the Gift of Choice” because that’s what your donation provides: the ability to choose what goes on the table.

“I use my gift card on Food Lion’s sale days to make the most of it. I typically buy healthy meat options.”

— Efland-Cheeks Community Center recipient

“Our child has a disability and is on dialysis, so healthy, wholesome food is important for her diet. PORCH provides food, and the gift card helps us purchase additional items she needs.”

— Fairview/Timbers recipient

🛒 How Your Donation Helps

Your contribution turns into practical support at the checkout. A $30 Food Lion gift card can help a neighbor take advantage of sale prices, add healthy meat or fresh produce to their groceries, or pick up foods that meet their family’s needs. Together, we’re working toward providing more than 500 gift cards this holiday season, so families have more room to choose what works for them.

A gift card may seem simple, but it can give a family greater flexibility and relief at a difficult time. Help us make that support possible this holiday season. Every contribution brings us closer to reaching more of our neighbors.
