Help #SheBelongs Expand Global Leadership in Women's Soccer

#SheBelongs has been invited to send a youth leadership delegation to represent the United States at the Girl Power International Football Summit, taking place September 24–27, 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Our delegation of eight players and two coaches will join young women from nine countries for an international exchange centered on belonging, leadership, and equal opportunity in sport. The Summit is organized by Girl Power and powered by the UEFA Foundation.

This is more than a tournament. It is a chance for young women—especially those from refugee, immigrant, and other underrepresented backgrounds—to build confidence, form relationships across borders, and help shape a more inclusive future for soccer.

#SheBelongs was founded on the belief that football can connect people across diverse life stories and open doors to possibility. This invitation recognizes the work our players are already doing: welcoming teammates from every background, leading with courage, and showing that every girl belongs.

Why We Are Going—

Represent Utah and the United States in a global conversation about inclusion, women’s leadership, and access to sport.
Connect and stand with other advocates of equal representation for women in soccer and coaching leadership.
Participate in leadership workshops and mixed-team training with approximately 100 young women from around the world.
Bring new ideas, tools, and inspiration back to our local #SheBelongs communities.
Spread the #SheBelongs story globally.

After the Summit, our delegation will share what they learned through community reports, social media stories, and opportunities for younger players to hear directly from the team.

Our Fundraising Goal—

We are raising $35,000 to make participation accessible to all 10 members of our delegation—eight players and two coaches—regardless of financial circumstance. This works out to approximately $3,500 per team member, an amount each player is working very hard to raise and every gift, big or small, moves them closer.

Funds will cover essential participation costs only, using economical travel and shared lodging whenever possible:

Airfare: $20,000
Shared lodging: $6,000
Meals: $4,000
Local transportation: $1,500
Required team gear and uniforms: $1,500

Any funds raised beyond the cost of the delegation will support #SheBelongs programming for girls in our local community.
